Last updated: May 2, 2026Welcome to FixRight Pro. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (fixrightnola.com), our handyman services, our Home Care Club membership, and any other interactions you have with FixRight Pro LLC ("FixRight Pro," "we," "us," or "our").
By booking a service, requesting a quote, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
1. Who We Are
FixRight Pro LLC is a Louisiana limited liability company providing handyman, repair, and home improvement services in the Greater New Orleans area, including Orleans Parish, Jefferson Parish, and the Northshore (Slidell, Mandeville, Covington).
Our services are limited to repairs and installations under the threshold requiring full residential contractor licensing in Louisiana. For larger projects, we either obtain the appropriate registration or refer you to a licensed contractor.
2. Services We Provide
FixRight Pro offers handyman and home repair services including:
- Drywall repair, patching, and finishing
- Door and lock services (installation, adjustment, rekey)
- Fence and gate repair
- Fascia, soffit, and exterior trim repair
- TV mounting and cable management
- Pressure washing (driveways, houses, decks, fences)
- Hurricane preparation and post-storm repair
- Gutter cleaning, repair, and installation
- Bathroom and kitchen refresh services
- Flooring installation and repair
- Light plumbing (faucets, toilets, fixtures — labor only)
- Light electrical (fixtures, outlets — labor only)
- Property manager and short-term rental turnover services
- Other handyman services as listed at fixrightnola.com
Services we do NOT provide
For your safety and our compliance, we do not perform:
- Gas line installation or repair
- Major electrical work (panel installation, rewiring)
- Master plumbing (drain lines, water heaters, whole-house repiping)
- Roofing work over $7,500 in value
- Foundation repair or structural engineering
- Mold remediation
- HVAC refrigerant work
For these specialized services, we are happy to refer you to licensed Louisiana contractors who specialize in this work.
3. Quotes and Estimates
Free quotes: We provide free quotes for jobs valued over $500. For smaller jobs, our standard $95 minimum service call applies and is credited toward the work if you proceed.
Quote validity: Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Prices may change after this period due to material cost fluctuations.
Quote accuracy: Quotes are based on the information provided and visible conditions. If hidden issues are discovered (water damage, structural problems, etc.), we will pause work, document the issue with photos, and provide a revised quote before proceeding. You may decline to proceed at no penalty beyond labor already performed.
4. Pricing and Payment
Pricing Structure
- Flat-rate pricing for most services — the price quoted is the price you pay (assuming no scope changes)
- Time-and-materials may be used for jobs with unclear scope, with prior agreement
- Materials: When we supply materials, they are billed at cost plus 20% markup with receipts available on request
- Minimum service call: $95 minimum applies to all visits
- Trip charge: $35 additional charge for service calls beyond 20 miles from downtown New Orleans
- Same-day rush: 40% premium added to the job total for same-day service requests
Payment Terms
- Payment due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Property manager and commercial accounts: Net-15 payment terms
- Accepted payment methods: Credit card, ACH bank transfer, check, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, cash
- Late payments: Balances over 30 days past due may incur a 1.5% monthly late fee
- Returned checks: $35 fee for any returned check or failed payment
Sales Tax
Per Louisiana law, labor for repair and installation services is generally not subject to sales tax. Sales tax (currently 9.45% in Orleans Parish) applies only to materials we sell to you. Tax is itemized separately on invoices.
5. Scheduling and Cancellation
Booking
Appointments may be booked by phone, text, email, online through our website, or through our AI Receptionist service. Confirmed appointments will receive a confirmation by text or email.
Cancellation Policy
- More than 24 hours notice: No cancellation fee
- Less than 24 hours notice: $75 cancellation fee
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: $95 minimum service call charge applies
- Home Care Club members: First late cancellation per year is waived
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to weather, emergency situations, or factors beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer the next available slot.
6. The 1-Year FixRight Guarantee
Our promise: Every job we complete is backed by our 1-Year FixRight Guarantee. If our workmanship fails within 12 months of service, we will return and make it right at no additional cost.
What's covered
- Defects in our workmanship
- Materials we supplied (subject to manufacturer warranties)
- Failures due to improper installation
What's not covered
- Damage from misuse, neglect, or unrelated causes
- Customer-supplied materials that fail (these are subject to manufacturer warranties only)
- Damage from acts of nature (hurricanes, floods, lightning, etc.)
- Damage from subsequent work performed by others
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic issues that do not affect function
To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period at the contact information below. We will schedule a return visit within 7 business days under normal conditions.
7. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure successful completion of your project, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the work needed
- Disclose any known issues with your property (asbestos, lead paint, mold, structural concerns) before work begins
- Provide reasonable access to the work area on the scheduled day
- Ensure pets are secured during our visit
- Pay invoices on time per agreed terms
- Notify us promptly of any concerns about the work
8. Insurance and Liability
FixRight Pro LLC carries general liability insurance. Proof of insurance is available on request before any job begins.
Limitation of liability: Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for:
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (lost income, lost rental revenue, etc.)
- Damage to property caused by pre-existing conditions
- Damage caused by acts of nature or third parties
- Damage caused by customer-supplied materials
This is NOT a waiver of negligence. If we damage your property through our negligence, our insurance will cover the documented damage up to our policy limits.
9. Home Care Club Membership
Our Home Care Club is an optional monthly membership program with separate terms:
- Membership fees are billed monthly via the payment method on file
- You may cancel anytime with no cancellation fee — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- Unused priority visits roll over to the next year as long as membership is active
- Member discounts apply to labor only, not materials
- "Priority response" times apply during normal business hours unless otherwise specified

10. Photo Documentation and Marketing
We photograph our work before and after for documentation. By default, these photos are kept private and used only for our records and to send to you.
We may occasionally request permission to use anonymized photos of completed work in our marketing materials. We will always ask before using any identifiable photo of your property and will obscure addresses and personal details.
11. Communication and AI Receptionist
To improve service availability, we use an AI-powered receptionist (provided by Jobber) for after-hours and overflow calls. By calling our business number, you agree:
- Calls may be recorded and transcribed
- An AI assistant may take your information and schedule appointments on our behalf
- Real-time message summaries are sent to our team for follow-up

12. Disputes and Resolution
If you have a concern about our work, please contact us first — we want every customer satisfied and will work in good faith to resolve any reasonable complaint.
If we cannot resolve a dispute through direct communication:
- Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana
- Jurisdiction: Any legal action must be filed in Orleans Parish, Louisiana
- Mediation first: Both parties agree to attempt mediation before filing legal action when possible
- Attorney fees: The prevailing party in any legal action may recover reasonable attorney fees and costs
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Severability
If any portion of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portions remain in full effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any specific written agreement for a particular project, constitute the entire agreement between you and FixRight Pro regarding our services. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
