Most people wait until a storm is 48 hours out, then everyone panics and calls handymen who can't fit them in. The right time for hurricane prep is May — before the season starts. We do pre-season exterior inspections that catch the problems most homeowners miss: loose fascia that will peel off in 60mph winds, rotted door frames that won't seal under rain pressure, clogged gutters that will overflow into walls. Fixing these in May is cheap. Fixing them after a hurricane is a nightmare. Book pre-season slots in April or early May for priority scheduling.
If our workmanship fails within 12 months, we come back and make it right — free. No fine print.
Pre-season inspection should happen in April or May. Board-up prep (measuring, pre-drilling plywood) should be done in May-June. Actual installation of boards happens 48-72 hours before a storm arrival. Don't wait — hurricane season is June through November.
Yes, with priority going to Home Care Club members. During active storm warnings we're usually booked out 24-48 hours in advance. That's why pre-season prep matters — if your plywood is measured and labeled in advance, board-up takes 30 minutes when a storm approaches.
Emergency post-storm service typically begins 24-48 hours after storm passes, once roads are safe. Members get priority. Tarp installs, debris clearing, and fence re-standing are usually completed within the first week post-storm.
